hash extraction tool

Extract the file hash value and send it directly to the decryption engine

Upload an encrypted Office, PDF, or compressed file, and the hash value used to restore the password will be automatically retrieved. Copy and paste it into the hash decryption page to begin the restore. No software installation is required, and you don't need to understand algorithms.

Once a file is passworded, the original password text is not written into the file; instead, it stores a string of "fingerprints" calculated by it. This tool is responsible for reading this string of fingerprints and then sending it to the decryption engine to deduce the original password.

You don't need to know anything about technology; just understand this first

Why does the "hash extraction" step have to be the first step to retrieve the password? You'll understand after reading these three points

1

The original password is not in the file

After you set a password for a file, the software converts it into a fixed-length string of characters and stores it in the file. When you open it again, the software compares it with this string of characters—it's called a "hash," which is equivalent to a lock cylinder that only recognizes your password.

2

Hashes cannot be counted backwards; they can only be counted backwards

This string of characters cannot be directly calculated back to the original text; we can only try it again and again using rainbow tables and GPU clusters. To recover a password, the first step is to read it out of the file—that's the step.

3

Only after obtaining the hash can we talk about decryption

Different software has different algorithms: Excel, Word, PDF, RAR, and ZIP each have their own formats. After uploading, the system will automatically recognize the type and extract the hash of the corresponding algorithm. You don't need to judge or select.

The whole process usually only takes a few tens of seconds, depending on the file size; The extraction itself does not change your source file.

frequently asked questions

Will my file be uploaded?

The web version needs to be uploaded to be extracted. The file will only be used for this processing. It will be deleted immediately after returning a hash and will not be retained. If the file is sensitive, it is recommended to download the desktop client, which can be extracted locally even when disconnected from the internet.

How do I use the hash after I get it?

The hash is the ciphertext obtained after the password is encrypted. Paste it into the hash decryption page, and the system will check the rainbow table or use the GPU cluster to back-extract the plaintext password—extraction is only the first step.

Is it guaranteed that the password will be recovered?

Depends on password strength and algorithm type. Common weak passwords typically last from a few minutes to several hours; High-strength passwords may not be able to be calculated; in this case, there is no charge.

How much does it cost to withdraw

Billing is done on a per-use basis, with the first free trial each day, followed by a deduction based on the unit price displayed on the page. If your balance is insufficient, a top-up box will pop up. Once the balance is credited to your account, the process will continue automatically without you having to upload it again.

Next: Restore the hash value to a password

The extracted hash is just a "lock." By filling it into the hash decryption page, you can use the rainbow table and GPU cluster to deduce the plaintext password.
